Position Title: Fire Detection Pilots (C337) – 2026 Fire Season
Employment Type: Full Time, Seasonal Contract
Location: Various throughout Ontario & Saskatchewan
Role of a Fire Detection Pilot:
Detection Pilots support our Fire and Survey contracts and act as Pilot-In-Command of the Cessna 337 Skymaster. As a Detection Pilot, you will conduct VFR patrols in search of lightning and human-caused wildfires across Northern Ontario and Saskatchewan. Aerial fire detection plays a critical role in the government’s wildfire management strategy, helping ensure wildfires are detected early when they are still small enough to be controlled.
Your Qualifications:
- Transport Canada Commercial Pilot License and Multi-Engine Rating
- Category 1 Medical
- Valid Group 1 Instrument Rating (Ideal but not mandatory)
